Dear friends,
 
As you have possibly heard, we held a successful screening of “Have I ever happened?” directed by Ramin Goudarzi –Nejad on the 20th of January at Polish Centre with the participation of around 280 guests.

We also had the pleasure of the company of many renowned guests such as Dr. Ali Reza Nourizadeh, Iraj Janati Ataie and many others that it would make a long list if we wanted to mention all those respected names.

After the screening which attracted audience’s interest considerably,
Dr. Khoie, poet, writer and philosopher opened the discussions around the film. His speech was generally focused on immigration and necessity of culture preservation. He continued by drawing attention to the negative side effects of living in a multilanguage, multicultural society on the immigrants’ native language and emphasised on the necessity of valuing the native culture as a must.
 
He continued in regard with the subject and structure of the film and concluded his speech with congratulating the birth of this work of art to the Iranian culture in the exile.

Farnosh Behzad’s speech the other speaker was mainly and generally about film music and partly about the music has been used in this film and character analyzing of the cello as an instrument and he also pointed out that music selection has smartly been relevant and particular.

Parviz Jahed, film critic and writer was the last speaker. In his speech, Parviz touched on the nature of the experimental genre and analyzed the film in this category.  His general assessment of the film maker was that of strength in cinematography, editing and directing.

His main criticism was regarding the use of music in the film. Parviz believed that the music was too lengthy and that it had dominated the whole film.

We also had Stephen Trafford, script writer the Bill (TV series) who described the film as a poetic and atmospheric work.
 
Lien Aukin, renowned playwright for BBC for last 30 years was also one of the guests who shared her feelings with sending a note in adoration of the film.

Unfortunately, due to shortage of time we did not get a chance to hold that round table was scheduled but we are hoping to screen the film in the very near future.
