Studied drama at Tehran University (Faculty of Fine Arts) in Iran, Cardiff University and Glasgow University in Britain. His main work has been a long research on Iranian traditional performances and ceremonies.

He has directed and acted in several plays. He has contributed to several theatre projects and productions; most of the productions he has been involved with have been mainly for Persian audience in Europe and America. He has travelled to many countries with touring companies.

He is a drama teacher and runs theatre work-shops for kids every Saturday. Also he is an effective organiser of artistic events (music, theatre, poetry reading, and seminars) for the last twenty years.

He is with Saam House for a few years now and manages technical side of their productions.
